The Performing Arts Department combines Audio Production, Dance, Music and Theatre to connect students with the world around them, developing their unique artistic perspectives and embracing the creative notion that the only limit is that of their own imaginations. We ask students to think critically about their art form and to become aware of the ways in which their actions, their bodies, their words and their talents influence the people around them. Creating a judgment-free space for artistic and personal explorations, the Performing Arts Department cultivates an environment where students build community through performance technique. Many of our courses culminate in performances; all invite significant student participation in the creative process and prepare the students for a lifetime practice of curiosity, empathy and discovery.
