The goal of our Computer Sciences Department is to nurture a community of students to innovative and diversity the world of computer sciences. Starting off with the Intro to Coding class where students explore how to create functional websites using HTML CSS and JavaScript. Students can then move on to the AP Computer Science Principles. There the students dive into the theoretical aspects of how and why computers do what they do, how the internet works and using that information to create more complex applications using API developed to make the process of coding easier.

Throughout the year students take trips to real tech companies and see how what they are learning is put into practice and what careers they can potentially have once they have graduated college, or even after graduating high school. We are also fortunate enough to work with Code Nation who bring Professional Coders with real-world experience to work on projects with our students.
